An Epiphany

So I’m playing this video game for review, and it’s a puzzle game/RPG hybrid thing. And I like it, but I kept worrying about my general slowness playing games and forgot that I do this for fun. (I mean, I’m not getting paid.)
Anyway, I can kill between 6 and 7 monsters (it takes 15-20 minutes), and always die at a monster that is bigger/looks more important than the others. Sometimes it’s an alligator-dude; sometimes it’s a Grim Reaper-looking dude. Earlier there’s a poison-inflicting monster that’s sometimes a mushroom-guy and sometimes a blob of sludge. What I mean is, the monsters are kind of randomized.
Monster I Always Die At is probably a boss. (The poison-dude is also probably a boss.) BUT! Today I was playing and one of the helpful messages in the loading screen was that you unlock a soundtrack each time you beat this game. And from the look of things, there are LOTS of soundtracks to unlock!
So my assumption now—barring further evidence—is that Monster I Always Die At is the Final Boss and that I don’t actually suck horribly at this game.
ETA: I finally...turned the soundtrack on? (Uh, yeah, I know.) At the Monster I Always Die At, the music changes to something quicker and evil-er sounding.
