Feb. 9th, 2013 10:20 am So for my birthday (which was two days ago) I was going to run the People with Disabilities Being Awesome commentwork fest again (since 3 weeks for Dreamwidth has died down), but it never happened because I:
- bought Mugen Souls. I found it at one store for $37 used and was like "enh I'd rather pay $49 for it new" and then went to another store where it was $39 NEW GO ME! And damn, Chou-Chou is the easiest character to write crossovers with since Ryouga Hibiki. Her goal is to subjugate ALL THE WORLDS but instead of being all Fire Lord Ozai-Princess Azula about it she wants to to it by being loved by everyone. So an essential game mechanic is finding out what character-type enemies like (I am annoyed one of them is called "bipolar," especially because she appears to be a tsundere, which a. is a specific character-type that AFAIK has nothing to do with any mental illness and b. is nothing like bipolar disorder whatever, so the name is inaccurate), then choosing the "right" behavior options to make them fall in love w/ you. The potential for awesomeness is high but right now it is a PITA to pull off.
- bought the God of War Saga, because I have to use my major for something (I used to have the first 2 for PS2, but got rid of them in the move because I wanted them all in one box and am also shallow and want pretty HD and Trophies)
- bought a Kindle Fire HD! Man, is that thing shiny. Now I can say I've played Angry Birds.
- went out for lunch!
- was going to see Mama (the movie; my mom was there) but didn't have time :(
