[community profile] armyoffanfic is...well, a community for Evil Dead/Army of Darkness fanfic.

Right now, there's a commentfic -athon running. (Warning: potential triggers) Sadly, I can't think of any prompts yet.

Autistic self-advocate (and stereotype-violator) Joel Smith used to blog at This Way of Life, but then it disappeared. He has a new blog now:

(Someday I should write a post about how autistic writers shaped a lot of my understanding of disability rights and theory and helped me develop the ability to "think about how I think," especially when I was a teenager.)

[community profile] help_for_ephemere is open.

This is a fundraiser to benefit [personal profile] ephemere, with the aim of supporting her in the wake of her losing her job, home, and good relations with her family due to homophobia. The idea of this fundraiser was conceived by friends of ephemere, and is being run with her permission. Funds will go to rent, utilities, food, and medical bills.

An FAQ is here.

The comm is open for offers now; bidding starts July 12. Signal-boosting welcome.

My offer list.

[personal profile] ilyena_sylph is doing a fundraiser to get [personal profile] killing_rose the fuck away from her abusive living situation. She needs to raise a lot of money, since [personal profile] killing_rose is moving from Alaska to the lower 48, but if you could even donate $5, it'd help a lot. If you can't donate, please, please signal boost.

Fund-raising post here.

Thanks so much.

If you want to copy this post to use as your own signal boost post, copy/past this into your html post creator: NOTE: this code should work on dreamwidth AND livejournal AND any other kind of blogging site that allows html. It's all the same code, you don't have to change anything.

If you want to copy/paste the code for yourself, go here

[community profile] 50books_poc has a list of works by creators of color that are eligible for the Hugo Awards, a major, fan-driven SFF award. Hugo-Eligible Works for 2011 is a brainstorming/rec post!

Rec and discuss your favorite works below (or, alternatively, just name poc-created works that are eligible, whether or not you are actively recommending them); I'll pull the recs up into the main post. And yes, go ahead and rec works or people for the non-book-related categories, if you wish. Just make sure that the people or creators that you are nominating are chromatic/non-white/people of color.

[community profile] ot3_promptfest! From the profile page:

This is a community designed to prompt more ot3 fic/art!

The rules are detailed here, but these are the basics:

1) Each month you can suggest any threesomes that you are willing to write/art/create for, and someone else will provide you with a prompt.

2) Each month you can suggest a few threesomes/prompts that you'd like to see, and someone else might provide you with a fanwork!

3) At the end of the month, a masterlist will be made with everything we've created on it, and new monthly posts will be put up!

Please enjoy, and feel free to pimp us out! Our OT3s need all the love they can get! :D

The request post/The prompt post

You guys! I requested prompts for Akane/Ranma/Ryoga and GOT SOME! Which are awesome! Including THIS, which is not me with a sockpuppet: "disastrous attempt at trying to introduce Akane and Ranma to Ryoga's parents, who are hard to get a hold of in the first place and keep wandering off." (*dies*) Although...a sea monster has shown up at their beach date? And I'm trying to think of a way for Akane and Ryoga to save RANMA from it, but I don't know. (Being a tiny pig is not conducive to fighting sea-monsters. Unless Akane throws you at them.)

There's a distinct lack of Natsume/Taki/Tanuma *pokes [personal profile] littlebutfierce gently*
