terajk: Iroh and Toph dancing (iroh & toph: Dancing)
I have TWO SPACES left on my kink_bingo card for my "characters with disabilities" line. I would like to fill them. One is "electricity." I have:
  • Two PWD with electricity-based powers. One is an asshole; (also, the person I'd ship her with refuses to do this square, for several good reasons); the other is not.
  • Two PWD with my navigational impairment. One is an asshole; the other is not. (Two points for Marie Mjolnir! And half a point for Azula, because even though she is a horrible person she is at least honest about it, unlike Ryouga, who I have had lots of trouble writing lately because CANNOT UNSEE THE FEDEX ARROWS EVERYWHERE.)
  • Teo, who would TOTALLY help discover/invent electricity and then use it for fun. (I am inclined to ship Teo with Sokka, b/c SCIENCEBROS.) But then I would have to do, like, actual science. Unless I ship him/the both of them with Aang, who is the Avatar and could probably learn lightningbending and is not an asshole.
  • [personal profile] nenena's fabulous Soul Eater thinky-thoughts percolating in my brain, and thus:
  • A burning desire to put Sid and Stein together--especially when they were students and Sid was, you know, alive--and see what happens.
  • A burning desire for Maka, Tsubaki, Liz, Patti (and maybe Marie) and Kid to go on an adventure, and Kid is like, "I am the only dude in the room. Uh" and I am like: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA!" (But then I feel bad, because I replaced Maka's weapon and I have trouble writing Soul to begin with.)
  • MARIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! But when I think of "Marie" and "electricity kink" I can only think of the obvious, which has been done for [community profile] kink_bingo already :(
terajk: Ryoga, grabbing Ranma by his pajama-top and shouting: "Do you remember where my house is?!" (Default)
(Or, after being annoyed at when female protagonists get fandom hate, watch me complain about how useless* a male protagonist is.)

I think I ship (ha! ship!) Mai from AtLA/Ryouko Hakubi now. Which is bad, because I haven't seen Tenchi Muyo! since I was in college 10+ years ago and had this...whirlwind love affair with it even then. By which I mean, it was the first anime series I ever watched. And I'd be like "Tenchi's on!" and "Ryouko, call me!" and "What do a princess from a powerful empire and a space pirate see in this dude?"** and "Why is he going to university now?!" and "THE CAT-RABBIT-THING IS A SPACESHIP??" after my professor's 12-year-old daughter explained it to me.

So, basically I was in it for the unresolved sexual tension between Ryouko and Ayeka, and had no understanding of, like, what was actually going on.

Also, this meme is still happening.

*I read that "Tenchi muyo" is a pun meaning, partly, "No need for Tenchi."

**While simultaneously loving the fact that all these ladies kept inviting themselves to live in his house. Actually, even though I haven't been watching anime/reading manga for long, several of my favorite ones are harem manga. It's not so much that I like love triangles (where the main character will end up with only one love interest), but I like the group of people all being in love/in a romantic friendship-slash-queerplatonic clump/etc. Which may be how Tenchi Muyo! ends up.
