Writing Katara is hard because I haven't really done it before. And oh my gosh she has layers and layers and layers. And I don't have several months to think about her Very Hard because she keeps wanting to be involved inkink_bingo and I do not have time. (One of my squares is "watersports," people. I mean, come on! Speaking of which, I want complicated Katara/Zuko and IDEK). Then there's that thing where everyone I write ends up with a Deadpan Snark upgrade--how did this happen?!
Tentacles. Oh, my god, tentacles. Katara or Aang is always an option. But since I am me, I'm like: "Oh, my goodness, can I do a crossover with The Ruins? But Azula can just burn that. NO WAIT OMG Sharktopus!" But then I want my Blackout in One Fandom! And then I'm all: "Can I just pretend I made up the sharktopus? Because it's not like this one is an experiment by the US government, and it's not like I've even seen that movie." (Not from lack of trying. Damn you, SyFy station!) But, no, I am too honest. Woe.
And then Rusty and Early Cuyler from Squidbillies showed up and said: "But WE have tentacles!" and I said: "You don't even GO here!" So instead I promised them a postage stamp, because "animal play," "gender play," and "penance/punishment" are all nearby. Which means I should probably research squid anatomy and behavior. (Are there things female squids do differently than male squids? I shall see!)
I can turn a couple of squares (at least) into belatedwhite_lotus Lunar New Year gift exchange treats, but I'm afraid the recipients won't like them. Obviously, the thing to do is to stalk their journals and see what kinds of things they rec/like.
I have written 4 things forkink_bingo, plus one other thing, in less than a week. And I have ideas for other things. How did I learn to write so fast?
