Title: Untitled
Rating: SFW
Fandom: Child's Play
Character: Andy

Summary: For the
fic_promptly prompt: Author's choice, author's choice, automatonophobia (fear of ventriloquist's dummies, animatronic creatures, wax statues - anything that falsely represents a sentient being)
"Let's be friends!"
Thinking of the whispers in the middle of the night--"Friends share, yeah? I'll give it back when I'm done, I swear"--makes him want to punch things, but doesn't affect him like this. It doesn't make him six years old again like the fake-ass too-cheerful voice that promises things it (won't) can't deliver. This voice makes him think of his mother, of doing something even she couldn't ("Show me how he works, okay?") like a big boy, like his father would have done. It reminds of the friend he always wanted, the friend he should've had. The friend that is always a lie.
That's why he pushes the button.
