Writing the story of the friendship between a sexy cat-monster and an asexual* god of death is actually really hard. (I mean, they have SO MANY COMMON INTERESTS.) I can't imagine it working without some degree of snark on both sides; the cat-monster's snark is gentler/ more playful than anyone else's in the cast would be, but I keep being afraid of breaking her.
ETA: While I usually don't associate songs with specific characters, their friendship has a song!

In the stars, a message: NIGHT OFF. WAY BORED. LUV BLAIR. It's a little too far to the left.
"Damn it, Blair. Do you know what time it is?"
"Time to rethink hanging out with you?" She's sitting in a tree (how didn't the security cameras find her?), filing her nails. Then a flash of perfectly positioned fangs as she runs her tongue over her teeth.
In lieu of actual content, I wrote this for
femslash100 a while back and never posted it here.
Title: Dare
For:
femslash100, challenge #305--"strange"
Rating: G
Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Ship: Azula/Toph
Word count: 100
Summary: Azula hates not being sure.
Were she Ty Lee, Azula would tell her to sleep on the floor. But with Toph stretched like one of Mai’s shuriken, pulling secrets from the volcanic rock under the palace, she’d feel more...exposed than she already does. Perhaps. Azula isn’t sure. She hates not being sure.
Why does she sleep so strangely? Ty Lee would always curl in on herself, make herself small: she knew she wasn’t worthy of Azula. But Toph lays wide open like one of Zuzu’s silly puzzle-boxes. It’s a dare; of course it is. So Azula kicks her, but not to the floor.
*Whilemy theory is canon implies the "reproduction" definition, I'm extrapolating the "sexual orientation" definition for id-tastic reasons.
