It's challenge time!
Comment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.
Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished! Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!
Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.

Good night, good evening, good afternoon, good morning! (Choose your time zone appropriate greeting as desired.)
Discussion time: When I was in school, I was very much a "one story writer". Every now and then, I might switch to another story if the first one hit a block, but generally, I never wrote multiple things at the same time. After college, I continued very much in this same way, where I wouldn't even let myself think about writing something other than what my current project was (especially when it was exchange related and therefore time sensitive).
And then one dayI took an arrow to the knee, I decided to write something besides my main project out of spite for myself and my arbitrary Highlander-esque "there can only be one" rules.
This did help relieve some of the stress of "I'm not writing AND I'm also mad at myself for it, so I'll not write even harder." It also created a new issue where I have so many stories started but relatively few of them actually finished.
Which is a very long-winded way to ask: what about y'all? Do you tend to stick to one story/project until it's finished? Do you hop from one to another depending on your mood/brain capacity/due date? If you have multiple stories running at once, is there an order that you follow for when one gets its turn? If you write one at a time, do you ever have times where other ideas try to muscle in on your time, and, if so, what do you do with them?

Hello, friends! We're here once again.
Discussion time: Since it's still currently Monday here, I'll pretend that's the case for all of us. Please humor me, I have so little else. Monday's can be hard for getting writing time. For anyone working the typical officey/9-5 type job, it's the start of the new work week. For anyone in school, it's usually the start of their week, too. And for some poor fools, it's trash night! It's me, I'm fools
BUT! New weeks mean new starts! So, yes, while it might mean a return to more rigid daily schedules, it might also mean that things are starting over. The week's only just begun, so we might not have hit the "cascading unfinished tasks" portion of the week that frequently overwhelms writing plans later in the week.
So how does Monday land for you? Are your Mondays usually more one extreme or the other? Or are they somewhere in the middle? Or maybe a secret third thing?

Our new challenge is our seventy-ninth:
During amnesty challenges, you can post works for any of the challenges we've had to date: ( Complete list of prompts )
See this gdoc spreadsheet for a complete list of prompts (sheet 1 listed by date; sheet 2 alphabetical & linked)
Of course, you're always welcome to post multiple works to any challenge if you finish them before the challenge closes, but that isn't always possible. So dust off those unfinished works and half-formed ideas -- now is the time!
In amnesty rounds, please include the challenge you are posting for in the subject line of your post (eg, Bright: The Untamed: Podfic: Bunnies!).
Each work created for this challenge should be posted as a new entry to the comm. Posting starts now and continues up until the challenge ends at 4pm Pacific Time on Thursday, May 1st. No sign-up required.
Mods will tag your work with fandom, media and challenge. When you've posted entries to three consecutive challenges, you will earn a name tag, and we'll go back and tag all your previous entries with your name.
All kinds of fanworks in all fandoms are welcome. Please have a look at our guidelines before you play. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact a mod. And if you have any suggestions for future challenges, you can leave them in the comments of this post.
Also, keep an eye out for the next
ffw_social post, which will go up in the next couple of days. If you haven't joined the comm yet, it's never too late to come and check it out. (Remember, posts are locked, which means you have to join to see them.)
