In celebration of Atsushi Ohkubo more or less officially endorsing one of the English-speaking Soul Eater fandom's ship names for Black*Star/Death the Kid (via papermoon2), let's talk ship names! Good ones, bad ones, ones you wish caught on.

The Avengers fandom has a high proportion of quality ship names. I'm also a fan of "Peeniss" (Katniss/Peeta, "The Hunger Games") and I'm not even in that fandom. Most ship names in my fandoms are simple name smushes, although "It's a monkey!" (Death the Kid/Maka) and "adventure brothers" (Kirikou/Ox) should totally be things.

Also, I can't decide if "earthquakes and lightning" (Azula/Toph) is awesome or really, really terrible.

Science bros! I think it's actually canon? I think I remember seeing a comic cover on tumblr that described the two as Science bros.

I'm also a huge fan of Stark Spangled Banner because how can you not? It's so perfect!

YES, Stark Spangled Banner is perfection. And while watching the movie in the theater I thought of Bruce/Tony as "science bros"? So I had to get it from somewhere (it was probably Pepper).

Speaking of, I really like Pepperony for some reason. And Blackeye. And Black Pepper; and SHIELD daddies; and fan loyalty and and and. (Avengers fandom has the best shipnames.) I wonder what Loki/Tesseract would be called? Maybe "hold on to your butts"?
