So I am reading "A Game of Thrones" and despite this list I really like it so far

ETA: 4a1. Dammit I've been mispronouncing his name THIS ENTIRE TIME.

5. *discusses things with my mom, as she has seen Season 1 of Game of Thrones and offered to help me make sense of what is going on. Gets MAJORLY spoiled* ("I thought you'd be further along than that!")

5a. At least I don't have to put up with Viserys for much longer. Thank GOD.

And there are incest pairings I like/can read because of the incest squick! (Azula/Zuko) Maybe it isn't really a squick? I mean, I saw/read "Flowers in the Attic" and "Revolutionary Girl Utena."

haha, if "squick" seems like the right word, then use it! it seems totes legit to me that there might be like, some cases where a particular thing makes you like something more, and other times it makes you like something less? can depend on how it is executed. :)

I agree with this! I used to say I have an incest squick but I discovered that's not really accurate because it's more an execution thing and even then, only when it relates to sibling incest. Manga & anime have shown me that cousin incest in fiction does not bother me at all...
