moragmacpherson is hosting a self-cest commentfic meme! And I was all ready to prompt Soul Eater folks/anybody FUNimation dub crossovers (Maka Albarn/Tohru Honda! Death the Kid/dammit which Hitachiin was he?)  but then I read this

If the face doesn’t match, the character must be the same.

and now I'm sad,

ETA: I WAS WRONG! I asked the host of the meme, and characters with the same voice actor ARE welcome: just put a "(same voice)" in the prompt! My bad! *off to think of a prompt for Mousse/Light Yagami*

because INTERNET (and by "internet," I mean glass_icarus andinkstone )! While I was looking through Todd Haberkorn's filmography to see which Hitachiin he was (it was Hikaru, which I'd thought) I found this:

Oh. My. Two supernatural creatures with different alignments (possibly only for now) and overlapping obsessions? HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS BEFORE?

To cheer myself up, I prompted Black Star/Black Star; I would prompt Excalibur/Excalibur, but I don't think the universe could take it. (The thought of writing Excalibur's POV fills me with dread, personally.)

Yes, that, too :D (I got a lovely comment on a One Piece drabble). But sometimes if something has a lot more pageviews than I expected--like that Haruhi & Nyanko-sensei drawing--I'm like: "All these people saw my terrible thing!" I have to work on not thinking that way.

Now I think I misunderstood that part, but I'm not sure? (This meme seems to have a lot of caveats that are confusing.) Because that was specifically in reference to different actors playing the same character at different ages:

For fictional characters, you may prompt different ages of the same character, even if that character was played by a different actor onscreen. For example, Dean Winchester as played by Brock Kelly can be shipped with Dean Winchester as played by Jensen Ackles. However, you may NOT prompt Brock!Dean/Tom Hanniger (played by Jensen). If the face doesn’t match, the character must be the same.

So maybe I was wrong. (Yay!) But then I'm confused, because it also says: "We all love imagining pretty faces making out with each other. Now it’s time to imagine pretty faces making out with themselves!"

There was a question about allowing voice actors, and they are allowed, but I'm...not sure I understand the answer? (The host suggests asking if you're unsure; perhaps I should just get over my shyness and do it.)

I think now that the answer might be "yes," but I'll ask and report back. If the answer is no, I'll just host one myself :D

OMG. LOOK AT THIS FILMOGRAPHY. JUST LOOK AT IT. (And this is just his notable roles.) Whoever put them all together would be a genius.

And now I want Excel Saga's Lord Il Palazzo and Excalibur together, because WOAH. (I would also like Tatewaki Kuno from Ranma 1/2 to find Excalibur, although that may create a rift in the time-space continuum or something.)
