queer_fest again this year...and I WILL do it properly, on time, and without freaking out. *buckles down* Here's what I signed up for:
Prompt: Any Fandom, any characters, An asexual, but not aromantic, love story.
Fandom: Soul Eater
Ship: Kid/Liz/Patty

Note to self: I'm embarrassed about the id potential of this, but perhaps id isn't such a bad thing after all. (SO MUCH CUDDLING. And also possibly shopping. And dinner. And sleeping together without sleeping together. And maybe Liz hitting on/bringing home people/dating folks for sexytimes and it's totally cool. Also, beating up witches is romantic, right? Also-also, maybe the fact that their relationship already has words--"meister" and "weapons"--is a Very Good Thing for everyone, since they don't have to think too hard about what they are.)

Character: genderqueer!Ranma
(Possible) Ship: Akane/(Akari)/Ranma/Ryoga

Note to self: I'm very fond of genderqueer!Ranma. Being able to change sex at will doesn't always encompass hir gender, so sie has, for instance, one-piece bathing suits that say "Boy" and are covered in hearts. Also, Ranma actually does all kinds of things for attention. Also-also, having to label hir attractions "straight," "gay," "bi," etc., is annoying at best. Sie's attracted to who sie's attracted to, dammit, and that is enough--although maybe these attractions have different qualities depending on what gender Ranma feels (close enough) like: hir attraction to Akane in girl form vs. boy form, for instance.

Date: 2012-03-23 06:50 am (UTC)btw, The only knowledge I have of either Soul Eater or Ranma is from your stories and comments. It's been fun learning about them. I'm astonished at how complex and colorful the characters are.
