She’s powerful but slow--just a little bit. Enough for him to dodge, grab her arm and use her own momentum to throw her to the ground. (Small Haninozukas train specially in the art of using leverage. For years.) But when he reaches up her leg sweeps. He still jumps, though.
Then he throws the shuriken, she pulls a tea kettle out of somewhere (this duel of hidden weapons makes him almost giddy, she knows him so well) and the stars sink into its flesh.
She smiles. “Mitsukuni.”
“Cousin Akane,” he says, bowing, and they walk into the Tendo house.

Small Haninozukas train specially in the art of using leverage. For years. is the BEST THING EVER OMG. xDDDDDD ♥
*Squeals* Since I'm me, I keep wanting to explore Honey's body type-as-disability more, especially since it's hinted that it's expected for some Haninozukas to be small. So then I have fun thinking about the house(s) having a mix of average-sized-person and little-person toilets, or counters, and some cars are modified for small riders and maybe drivers (if they don't all have chauffers), and of course this body type is an important part of the Haninozuka school of martial arts, because it's just a type of body rather than a HUGE DISASTER.
